Collage Self Portraits

Back in 2018 I was studying Textile Art with The Open College of Arts and one of our assignments was to follow a process of noticing one of our daily rituals and continuing that into a series of altered self portraits in A3.

I found this a fascinating exercise. It felt stupidly uncomfortable and exciting at the same time.

Looking at your own face is strange but it was interesting manipulating, masking and moving around elements to make something so personal into a work of art.
